just saw the new Denis Villeneuve. 168 minutes. every single one of them earned. i sat in the parking lot for 20 minutes afterwards. this is my only review.

hot take: the best scene in Interstellar isn't the docking scene. it's the corn field burning in the background of a two-shot nobody talks about. cinematography is world-building.

no film in the last 5 years has recovered from being called "a24-coded" in a trailer reaction. we did this. all of us.

watched a 1972 italian film with no subtitles last night on principle. i understood 8% of it. it might be the best film i've seen this year. the brain fills in the rest.

trailer for the new charlie kaufman film just dropped. i understood zero of it. this is a five star review.

somewhere, someone is prepping a moon landing movie right now. the storyboard has probably been in a drawer for 3 years. we're going to see so many drone shots.
